Thunderbird storage
I recently un-installed an old version of Thunderbird that was showing a vulnerabilty and would not patch itself to the latest version for some reason (old version was in the 60s). I had all mail stored in a non-standard folder on my D drive so that it would be included with my backups. After uninstalling, my non-standard folder is still there. However, the location where Thunderbird was originally installed was removed and that is not included in my backups.
I installed today the newest version of Thunderbird, but I cannot get it to open my old mail. I'm able to login to my accounts, but I need to access the email stored in my non-standard storage file.

First, let me say that I really appreciate your feedback. This allowed me to select the old folder and now I have everything again.
Thanks again! If you're going to be in Washington, beers and shots are on me!

I can restart with a clean install. I just need to be able to make it work with the old location for the files inside my personal folder and outside %APPDATA%.

Uninstalling should not affect settings or pointing to previous storage locations. Unless you wiped the c: drive.
Start Thunderbird from command line as below to see the profile manager, which will show all the available data profiles.
thunderbird.exe -P
