Why can I not set update to only update the 1 account I am currently reading?
I have 6 email accounts in my Thunderbird. Why can I not set update to only update the 1 account I am currently reading? I often get emails as a part of 2 factor authorization for a Firefox account and I have to wait for all my accounts to update before I can read the one that is important at time. Sometimes when I am opening the account I need, I must wait for 100 or more emails in other accounts to download. Is it possible to set Thunderbird to only open 1 account at a time?

If these are IMAP accounts, they generally have a life of their own. If POP, you might try setting them to not download when TB starts, and not to download on any schedule and not to automatically download. I think that may help you select which account to check. If you right-click the 'get messages' icon, you can select which account to check. I hope this helps.
David, Thanks for the suggestions but they didn't really work. 1 is a gmail imap and 3 are pop. Also, right clicking on 'get messages' didn't give me any options except 'Menu Bar' and 'Customize' Before the update to V115 it only updated the email account I was looking at. I wish they would find a way to add that choice.
I'm not sure what you're rightclicking, but those aren't the options. Those sound like options for the toolbar itself. the 'get messages' icon allows selecting individual accounts.
