How can I delete an embedded image from a message I receive?
Generally, an image can be displayed in an e-mail either by attaching it or embedding it. I much prefer receiving messages with attachments, because the images are easy to save and, especially, easy to delete from the message. For me, if I save an image to a folder, I don't need to keep it in the e-mail anymore (so I often use the Detach option). Or sometimes I just want to delete the image but save the message with any text (using the Delete attachment option).
But I've found no way in Thunderbird to delete an image that's embedded. For some reason, right-clicking an embedded image offers no Delete option. Maybe I'm missing something, would appreciate any tips.

The entire message source can be edited with this add-on:

Most embedded images are small, so this might be more trouble than it's worth. If you're concerned about space on a mail server, consider moving messages to Local Folders, where storage is limited only by the local computer.
Thanks for that, and I can see how that would be one way to delete an embedded) inline images. But... yes, it's much more than I want. I've done similar simply by saving a message and then editing it in Notepad! But what I'd really like to see is a Delete option on the context menu when I right-click on an embedded image. Like I see on the menu for Attached images or files.
