Copying text from Print Friendly view
I am trying to copy selected text from a web article. If I select the text from the screen and paste into a word processor the text is truncated. If I view in Print Friendly the text is rearranged to prevent this but I now cannot select the text I require because the cursor is replaced with a large Dustbin and only allows deletion of text. How do I get rid of this dustbin and resume normal editing?
Firefox 79.0 Incidentally, the usual Firefox tab to rearrange text for reading is not available for this particular article/website.

Try something like this; https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/copy-plaintext/
Copy PlainText by erosman
Copy Plain Text without any formatting
Hi
Print Friendly view uses reader view to format the text for printing. As you can see by the name, this is only a view.
You should be able to enter reader view via the button in the location bar.

Hi Ken, do you mean this add-on's website?

There is an innner area where the garbage can cursor is active, but if you position your mouse in the left or right margin where the overlay disappears, you should be able to select text starting there, although it can be a little difficult to see when you have reached the end of what you want due to the yellow overlay.
If all else fails, Ctrl+A (Select All) then Ctrl+C (Copy) should grab everything and you can clean it up after you paste it.
