Confirmation email consistently arrives too late.
Have tried several times, over the past 2-3 weeks, to get my yahoo.com email address confirmed by Firefox. It always takes at least 45 minutes to over an hour to hit my inbox.
It always arrives, just late. And since the code expires after only 5 minutes, it's always a fail.
Seriously though, only 5 minutes?! Are you kidding me? Over-zealous much? That's nuts.
I don't have this problem getting confirmed by any other site. I've done a half-dozen or more in the past couple of months.
Just sent myself an email from a gmail account, it hit my yahoo.com inbox in under a minute.
Can anyone out there, on the inside, lend a hand in getting me confirmed?

Patience was all that was needed, evidently. After trying repeatedly to get a timely verification code, was able to finally get both phone and laptop confirmed. Choosing the early morning hours seemed to help, emails arrived within about a minute or so.
Thank you!

Thanks for your help, I was eventually able to get confirmed on two devices. It seemed to help to pick an early morning or late night time to do this. It was not the mailto bug, the confirmation emails coming out of the sign-up confirmation service always arrived, eventually, just too late to be of any use. They had a very short expiration window.
