Problems when using ebay
Has anyone had issues using Ebay? I have had numerous problems with listing items. One big one is that I can only upload 8 photos. It doesn't show me the "add photos" button. I have called and they tell me they have had reports of this happening when using Firefox. They suggested trying another browser. I did and it works. So, what's the problem?

FF has had some some issue with eBay not showing all the image. You should try another browser to verify if what your not seeing shows up on the other Browser and report back so the helpers on here can see what is happening.

I did use another browser. It allowed me to upload and view the extra photos that FF did not let me do. It is a FF issue.
Hi, sometimes it is a Extension you are using that is blocking the ability to see these things as will issues with Avast/Avg.
To check if it is your Extensions please : Try Firefox Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily turns off hardware acceleration, resets some settings, and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).
If Firefox is open, you can restart in Firefox Safe Mode from the Help menu:
- Click the menu button , click Help and select Restart with Add-ons Disabled.
If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Safe Mode as follows:
- On Windows: Hold the Shift key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
- On Mac: Hold the option key while starting Firefox.
- On Linux: Quit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox -safe-mode
(you may need to specify the Firefox installation path e.g. /usr/lib/firefox)
When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "Start in Safe Mode".
If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme, or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps in the Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems article to find the cause.
To exit Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.
When you figure out what's causing your issues, please let us know. It might help others with the same problem.
I don't have any extensions. I have several plug ins. I went to EBay in safe mode and the issue is still present.
SHIELD ICON Tracking Protection
One issue that seems more common lately is Firefox's Tracking Protection feature. When it is blocking content in a page, a shield icon will appear at the left end of the address bar next to the padlock icon. This article has more info on managing this feature: Tracking Protection

Nope. That's not it. No icon appears.

Tracking protection is only active in private windows.

Sorry that is not correct. It can be enabled all the time from Options. As well there is the icon as was mentioned, also padlocks with greyed and orange and or yellow line through it.
Nothing like that appears when I am trying to revise the item.
You can check the Web Console (Tools -> Web Developer) for messages about blocked content and about the presence of mixed or unsafe content.
- "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Web Developer
- https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Tools/Web_Console
I'm not knowledgeable with that sort of thing. All I want to do is figure out why this happens using Firefox. It has to be something within Firefox because it doesn't happen in other browsers.
