When Firefox opens up, I select the url bar and begin to type but when youtube loads up it switches textboxes.
So with youtube.com as my homepage, sometimes I open Firefox and want to go to a different website, I'll select the URL bar and begin to type a website but when youtube loads up, the input for the text switches automatically to the youtube search bar. Is there a way to disable this?

Are you using any YouTube add-ons?
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Starting it in Safe Mode did not resolve the issue, it seems to be a function integrated into Firefox.
I notice you use the Palemoon third-party build and not an official Firefox version.
Does this also happen with a Firefox version from the Mozilla server?
