The browser pages are jumping both forwards and backwards while on a website. There is no definite pattern, it is intermittent and infuriating. I have gone through every forum available on this subject looking for a fix, tried every solution. None of them work. I have run Safari, Opera, Chrome. None of these browsers present with this problem. And Yes, I've unchecked "Use hardware acceleration when available". I like Firefox. It's always been my preferred browser but if you can't fix this glitch you've lost me.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).

Is the problem still there?

Yes. I did the Crap Cleaner and Tweak now scrub of the buffers, unused linkages and general Windoze clean -up. The jumping was still there and actually happened just now. I've been in the GUI business since X was created and was using Netscape. This is the worst problem I have run into. Since the problem is intermittent, I know it will be a bitch to debug.

There are two things to check.

1 Disable the mouse/touch-pad 2 Unplug the mouse
