Beginning 2/13/2016, using Firefox, when I click on any search result using any search engine a "sound" plays; how do I turn the sound off?
As of 2/13/2016 and using the browser Firefox, when I perform an Internet search using any of the search engines and click on one of the search results, a "sound" now plays. It started this evening. Can this "sound feature" be turned off. It's really annoying.

Firefox, itself, has no sound option.
It could be the work of one of your add-ons. Type about:addons<enter> in the address bar to open your Add-ons Manager. Hot key; <Control>(Mac=<Command>)<Shift> A)
In the Add-ons Manager, on the left, select Extensions. Disable a few add-ons, then Restart Firefox.
Some added toolbar and anti-virus add-ons are known to cause Firefox issues. Disable All of them.
If the problem continues, disable some more (restarting FF). Continue until the problem is gone. After, you know what group is causing the issue. Re-enable the last group ONE AT A TIME (restarting FF) until the problem returns.
Once you think you found the problem, disable that and re-enable all the others, then restart again. Let us know who the suspect is detective.

Continue with Fred McD's suggestions but just for starters you could try disabling your plug-in oddly labelled "Provides secure and convenient logon to Web sites" - quite likely My DigiPass. I know nothing against it but it could be producing the sound.
It was the add-on NoScript that was causing the "sound." NoScript updated its add-on a couple of days ago. Perhaps it's a new feature. If so, it's a very annoying feature. The "sound" expanded from search engine results to articles published on various websites and even to articles in my email. Anyway, sadly, NoScript has been disabled on my computer. I probably will try enabling it again if only to find out whether that annoying sound still accompanys the written NoScript warning line at the top of a page. In hindsight, NoScript probably uses the sound as an audio warning to its written warning.
Thank you for all of your help. I really appreciated it.
Glad to help. Safe Surfing. Open it's settings and poke around.
I disabled all of my addons, and I still get the obnoxious sound when the find bar doesn't find anything. Any other suggestions?
I just upgraded to windows 10. This problem did not exist on XP
Some extra information. The sound being produced is called the "Default Beep".
In about:config there is a pref labeled accessibility.typeaheadfind.enablesound that can be toggled to false to disable the "default beep" for the Find feature.
