New Tab Troubles
Using Firefox 41.0.2, I'm having trouble with the New Tab. I have added several sites that I use often but only 4 tiles will show up when I click for a new tab. If I try to add another site, as I drag it from the Bookmark Library to the new tab and it passes over the tile ID bar at the bottom of one of the four sites, the other tiles that I can't not see will flash on the screen as long as I hold the mouse over a tile ID bar. But if I let go while this is happening it just replaces one of the 4 tiles that I normally see upon clicking New Tab. Or it just immediately takes me to the site I'm trying to add. I use to have about 8 or 9 tiles that would show up initially. This all began after I did a "Refresh" on Firefox due to getting repeated "Firefox Not Responding" on the title bar. I have "Show Your Top Sites" selected under "New Tab Control"

Your zoom controls.
<Control> + (plus) enlarge <Control> - (minus) reduce <Control> 0 (zero) restore
Check it out.
You can zoom out the about:newtab page to resize the tiles and have more tiles fit on the page.
- View > Zoom > Zoom Out; Ctrl and -
"Zoom Text Only" shouldn't have a tick
This will affect all elements on the page, so text get smaller as well. Make sure that only one tab with the about:newtab page is open when you change the page zoom. Toggle the browser.newtab.preload pref to false on the about:config page in case of issues with remembering the page zoom of the about:newtab page.
You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.
