Defaults for: The font The font size

Under advanced: Proportional and size Serif Sans Serif Monospace and size

I have looked around this site for answers and have not found a clear concise answer to this. I am hoping someone has the easy, simple answer to what I have asked. Thank you in advance.

I've called the big guys to help you. Good luck.

Type about:preferences#content<enter> in the address bar. Across from fonts and colors, press the Advanced button. On the bottom, turn on Allow Web Sites To Choose Their Own.

What kind of font issues do you have on websites?

Can you attach a screenshot?

  • Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot
  • Make sure that you do not exceed the maximum size of 1 MB

Are there any font prefs on the about:config page that do not have the default value?

I'm having the same problem. It only started today, but for many of the websites I visit, the fonts have changed so they look something like bleeding ink. Some are broken up. I also tried to make changes in my font settings, but I can't find anything that works to make text readable. Some of my fonts in about:config have been user set. What can I do, other than reset Firefox which I don't want to do?

I remembered I use Firefox at work so I looked at the settings and these could be the default since no one else has the answer I am going with it.

The font - Times new Roman

The font size 16

Under advanced: Proportional and size Sans Serif 16

Serif - Time New Roman

Sans Serif - Arial

Monospace and size Courier new 13

Also, there was an Microsoft update release yesterday that may have caused the problem. I Googled it and found it so I uninstalled the one update and that helped.

My font is about 90% normal now so I am good.

Visage 13 - Which of the updates did you uninstall? I had 15 updates yesterday and wasn't sure which one was the culprit.

Cor-el, So is there something I can do in the meantime? It does NOT affect Internet Explorer, only FF and Chrome. I do not like using IE, or Chrome for that matter.
