How can I stop Firefox from blocking content on certain websites?

more options

I have a website that I use for school, and everytime I log on there is content on a page that is blocked. To unblock it, I have to click on the shield drop down menu and click allow so it can display the content. But this is time consuming because it sends me back to the homepage of that class and I have to go through a series of links once again to reach the content once more. Is there anyway that I can add this website to a specific list of do not block, because between that and pop-ups constantly being blocked, it's very hard to get anything done. Thank you for any help you can provide.

If there is a shield icon to the left of the "Site Identity Button" (globe/padlock) on the location/address bar then that means that mixed active content is blocked.

You can only unblock (allow) such content globally for all web pages. You can use this extrension to make it easier to toggle the involved security.mixed_content.block_active_content pref.

If there is mixed passive content (e.g. images) then Firefox shows an exclamation mark instead of "Site Identity Button" (globe/padlock) on the location/address bar.

I'm with oga435; there really should be a way of white-listing sites where we accept mixed content blocking. The current mixed content blocking prefs are discarded after each session, and having to globally disable mixed content blocking is a poor alternative. I have seen this request go through the formal review process and die with a "wontfix". This really makes no sense; the need to white-list sites is valid, in nearly every case the user has zero control over how the site serves up its content, and telling users to globally disable content blocking is a terrible security choice to be given as an alternative.
