Spam messages won't show up until I manually click on the folders
Hi all, been having an issue with Thunderbird that I cannot find the answer to.
Every morning I check my email and I've got several email accounts for lots of different things. Using Thunderbird makes it easy to check all of the accounts at one time, except for spam email. I've basically just accepted that ads from big brands are just going to get through and messages from friends with attachments might go into the spam folder, but a lot of my messages are time-sensitive. I realized that spam messages aren't actually showing up until I actually click on the folder; either that or whenever it just feels like it. But when I started getting into the habit of checking these folders to make sure there were no dropped messages, I noticed they weren't loading until I clicked on the folder.
This means that while each account's inbox is getting checked for new messages, I have to manually click on Spam AND Junk (redundant folders I can't get rid of) for EACH account in order to get it to show up, which takes forever and is quite annoying. I've done searches on Duckduckgo and Google and looked at every search result and there is no mention of any fix for this. There are no options in the many different options sections of Thunderbird that I can see that would fix this issue. I thought about maybe making an autohotkey script to take care of this for me but even that would take forever when automated.
What can I do about this? Or MUST I click on the folders manually every single morning just to ensure the potential of no dropped messages?

you guess right Thunderbird does not sync trash or spam unless you select them. You can change that by right clicking the folder, selecting properties and including the folder when getting new mail.
