Dark mode - message pane vs new message window

Is there any way to set the Message Pane (ie the F8 preview panel) as having a white background and the Message window (ie the one you type your messages in) with a dark background?

I have dark model enabled. Until recently, the Message Pane showed all my emails with a white background. Clearly this isn't very "dark" but it was useful because I could clearly read all the messages. When I clicked "reply", the new Message window would show things in dark mode (ie with a dark background). I liked this.

Sure, in some cases that would make it difficult to read the original message (which might show the text as black on a dark grey background) but I could always flick back to the Message Pane if I wanted to see it on a white background.

I recently upgraded to TB 91.3.2. Now both the new Message window and the Message (preview) Pane are showing as white (or, if I customise them using Preferences/Language&Appearance/Colours then they are both dark). Is there a way to customise them independently - eg using userChrome.css?

Sorry - I've worked this out. I just needed to check the "Use system colours" in Preferences>Language&Appearance>Colours.
