When i reply to a new message, the global search can't show the sent message or any other quoted text.
I want the global search to show me all the messages that contain a certain text. For example i have received a message from another email account that contains the text code "I4WBLPPL". I answer to this emai from thunderbird and the original message is attached as quote on my reply. So now, i have an email containing the "I4WBLPPL" text in inbox and one in sent folder. When i try the global search and type "I4WBLPPL" the result is only the message i received in inbox. The right result would be 2 messages, 1 in inbox and 1 in sent folder. The sent is not shown. Even when i try the local search in sent folder, the search does not show me the message. My question is this, is there any way to make the system search quoted messages or i m doing something wrong?

Thunderbird does not index quoted text, so it can not return that quoted text in a search. Right click your original mail and select show in conversation to see the reply you sent.

Is this a gmail account?
none of the emails is a gmail. My email is custom from webmail [email protected] but i think it's something about the search setting. Maybe i havent found it yet. The global search does NOT search on quoted messages.
Anyone could help on this matter?? I have a custom code (text in email body) for every email. When i reply on a customers email and then i try a global search typing the code (EXAMPLE: agg25) i see the email but i don't see my reply.
