Latest version of Fx being used on Win 10, version 1803. Browser has started crashing every few minutes. Crashes even in Safe Mode. Have not had this issue until recently. NOT a Win 10 problem as all other browsers work fine for as long as I have them open. Currently using the Fx Developer Edition which is NOT crashing at all.

Not clicking the Share Data button as this is the Developer Edition.

Any ideas or solutions that are viable?

hi, this problem will occur if you have manually enabled dns over https on firefox 60 - the feature isn't ready on release and will lead to the crashes you're experiencing. to solve the issue, please either reset the network.trr.mode preference in about:config or switch to the beta version of firefox 61...

OK. I got down to the part about removing Mozilla/Firefox program folders. I DO NOT want to remove any folders that contain my installed extensions. Although I have Fx synced, I do not trust that they will be re-installed again from the server. Where can I find all of them so I can save the folder and paste the extensions back in after an new install and re-boot?

Why wont the uninstall program do just as good without directly deleting the folders manually? I can handle removing the Registry clean up.

There are also Mozilla folders under AppDate: Local & Roaming.

This is all well and good. I know where to find my Profile folder. There is one in AppData>Local and one in AppData>Roaming.The Extension folder is listed under Roaming>Mozilla and has nothing in it. Seems the extensions are under: C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\6xfbg1oc.default and that this will NOT be deleted?

I have to use the Developer Edition as Quantum crashes in the middle of doing something you all ask me to do. I've been able to quickly get it done so far.

I know the crash reports are very long. I just wanted to make sure the numbers were all you needed before I proceed. Reading the crash report concerning the crash reason means nothing to me although I understand what it SAYS.

So you definitely want me to MANUALLY delete ALL folders in the Mozilla folder under the Program Files folder (using 64-bit)? Do a Register clean?

Firefox comes in two or more folders on all computers. They are;

Maintenance: (Programs Folder) <Windows Only> Firefox itself: (Programs Folder) And two folders in the profile of each user on the computer for each Firefox profile for that user.

If you remove the Firefox folder, the user profiles would not be affected.

I am thinking there is a corrupt file somewhere. By removing anything Mozilla or Firefox from the Programs Folder in the computer, anything corrupt would be removed.

OK. Did ALL this. Still crashing. Fx works fine for a few minutes and then just crashes. Same problem reported in crash report: Crash Reason EXCEPTION_BREAKPOINT.

1) Removed all folders in Program Files folder. 2) Cleaned remnants from Registry. 3) Rebooted. 4) Ran installer. 5) Opened Fx and started surfing usual sites. It still crashes in Safe Mode too.
