WHAT THE F*** HAPPENED TO MY ADD_ONS with 57?
Firefox had the audacity to force-feed version 57 which is incompatible with all my add-ons. I *RELY MASSIVELY AND HEAVILY* on those! The main one is Sessions Manager in which I have hundreds of pages stored and now I can't access them! I need to download/backup the stored sessions before they are lost so I can uninstall 57 and go back a version that is usable. How do I do this?
PLEASE no sermons on how 57 is great. It isn't, and Firefox has done a HUGE disservice here!!!

Here are your choices; 1) Contact its support and ask if they will update 2) Find a replacement 3) Downgrade to a prior Firefox 4) Do without
Hi Major-Screwed, please:
(1) Make a backup copy of your settings folder somewhere that Firefox doesn't update (like your Documents folder): Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles
(2) See: Install an older version of Firefox
Although there is no official version of the Session Manager extension for Firefox 57, another developer created Tab Session Manager. What I don't know and hopefully someone has posted about is how to get your old Session Manager session files over to Tab Session Manager. Once that is documented, hopefully you'll be able to update again.

I appreciate the fast response and was already able to backup the Profile folder. But the link to the older version page only downloads version 51. Is there no place that 56 can be downloaded?
Failing that I have 56.02 on another computer (and have turned off updates). Is there a way I can copy that to another computer?

Don't downgrade to 56.0.2. it already has multiple security vulnerabilities.

Since neither 56.0.2 or 52ERS are viable options as they don't support the necessary add-ons, which other Firefox version would you suggest?

Firefox 52 ESR supports the legacy extensions but the Extension may not work if it was updated for Firefox 57.0 and later.
On the extension page on addons.mozilla.org scroll down to Version Information and See complete version history for all versions of the Extension.

That's confusing. You get that when the page detects you are running running Firefox 52. But when you posted this question, the site detected Firefox 57.
You can check your current version on the Troubleshooting Information page:
- "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Troubleshooting Information
- (menu bar) Help > Troubleshooting Information
- type or paste about:support in the address bar and press Enter
In the first table on the page, there are rows for version and update channel. Do you have 52.5.0 on esr?
If so, what is the problem with it?

I have been trying different version to see what can be done. 57 seems to support Tree Style Tab but not Session Manager. 52ERS supports Session Manager but not Tree Style Tab (or Tab Mix Plus either). I suppose my next attempt will be to install 57 again and see if the link will take me to a page to download 56.
Tree Style Tabs has been converted to a WebExtension that only works on 57+. Session Manager is a legacy extension that works on <56. To get a TST legacy extension for the ESR, follow James' instructions.
On the extension page on addons.mozilla.org scroll down to Version Information and See complete version history for all versions of the Extension.

Thanks for that. I've been able to install a working version of Tab tree plus. A step forward but there's a long ways to go before I'm back where I was 5 hours ago.

Hi, what Session Manager version are you using that works with ESR? My session manager does not work with ESR.
