I only want firefox to store my firefox sync password, nothing else.
As a rule, I have my browser set up to clear ALL data when Firefox closes. I do not want Firefox to remember Site Preferences or Passwords. Recently I signed up for Firefox Sync. A useful feature that I would like to continue using. However, in order for it to work, I have to allow Firefox to remember Site Preferences and Passwords. Now, every time I go to a site that needs a password, I get the pop-up asking if I want to remember the password and have to choose no. I realize eventually I will have said no to all my common sites requiring passwords, but this gets tedious as I use multiple computers with the same browser settings. What I would like to know is, can I set up my browser to clear ALL data but somehow create an exception for Firefox Sync? That's the ONLY reason I need to remember Site Preferences and Password since the feature won't work otherwise. Many thanks for the help.

If you are clearing all data from Firefox, what is the point of using Sync? Sync is used to make sure that multiple computers all have the same data, if you are clearing all data off your computer than Sync is a waste of time
Once my settings are set they never change so I don't need or want it to sync that data. The only thing that does change are the bookmarks, which is the reason I am interested in sync.
