Tabgroups manager: new group has tabs of the previous
In older versions of Firefox I could open a new group with TGM and drag a new tab into it to have a new group with just this one new tab. Now (FF 37) a new group contains and controls all tabs of the previous one. No intependend managment of the tabs in the new group is possible. How can I create a new empty group?

You are asking about an Addon. It may be that the Addon is no longer actively being developed and supported.
If I have identified it correctly it is this one
But it appears to have last been updated in 2011 I am getting server not found for the support and homesite.
I suggest you enquire on the Mozilla Addons site either for advice on whether this is still active or for suggested alternatives.

- I did come across this but it also appears outdated https://code.google.com/p/tabgroupsmanager/
Or just look your self for alternatives amongst the hundreds searchable here

Thanks @John99 I've now installed this one and it seems to work: https://code.google.com/p/tabgroupsmanager/ Although it is somehow classified as "unofficial" my specific problem is gone.
Glad it helped. Thanks for posting back. The confirmation that the unofficial version works may help others.
However it may run into issues at a future date as a new addon signing procedure is likely to be introduced soon, so it may pay to keep looking for an alternative.
