When trying to download a pdf, it only shows up as a 20kb file and will not open.
When I try and download a pdf file or open it from a site, it only shows the file as 20Kbs, I know it is larger than that, and I can open other pdfs that are already on my computer. Just not new ones.

Hi there! Try dragging the file you downloaded onto an open Notepad window. What do you see in Notepad then?
Are you talking about once the file is downloaded then dragging it, or dragging a copy of the download link?
The problem seems to be that it is pulling a file that has only a fragment of the real size. Its should be a 70 to 400 kb file and the one that it is finding and pulling is only 20kb, and nothing but broken HTML code. But the site works on other computers and pulls the right files, so I have to think it is something wrong with Firefox.
I'm talking about the file that you download. By dragging it onto Notepad you could see whether it's a binary file at all, or just some error message or an intermediate page saved instead of the PDF.
By the way, how do you download the files in question? Do you right-click and choose "Save Target As", or do you left-click the link and get a window asking whether to save the file or to open it?
Left click and a drop-down of sorts comes down and asks to save the pdf open in HTML, or cancel.
The save leads to the none opening PDF, while the open as HTML shows up as nothing, most likely code fragments or something.
It sounds like what is happening is that is it bring up the intermediate page, instead of the file. Is their anyway to prevent this from happening?
Can you give me a link to the page where this happens? I could try to reproduce that.
Thats the problem, it is only one specific computer. I know it sounds strange. But it is only on one computer in our office, the rest of them work fine. Is there anything I could do to maybe reset something besides the obvious of clearing the history and cache
Have you tried to open the file in a text editor? What did you see there?
