Sorry, it looks like that IMVU installs into Windows, not just into Firefox. See this Google search for information about how to remove it completely.
A few years ago one of my nieces installed something on her grandmother's PC (my mother who live with me) and managed to "infect" it. Plus, it managed to infect a poorly protected PC that I rarely even use on the internet - it's in my electronics workshop and runs "lab scope" software for testing circuits and was running a long term test at the time, but is connected to my home network - and it got infected, too. The other 2 PC's of mine on the same network didn't get hit. After spending the better part of two days fixing two PC's, I found out from her father (my brother) that she managed to do the same thing in their home the week prior, but the PC's there weren't networked, so only my brothers work laptop got hit (she shouldn't have even been using that PC to begin with), so his IT department gave him an "earful" of static. After I told my brother what happened here, he bought her a used laptop to use and told her to learn about PC "security" before before using it on someone else's network; the first time she asked me how to connect into my network when she was visiting I asked her if her anti-virus was up-to-date and when the last time she had run a full scan. She didn't know what I was asking, and I said forget it until she could prove to me that it was safe. She still hasn't forgiven me over that, I'm still "the bad guy".
I don't "do WiFi" here, so the only way to tap into my internet connection is through my network. I wired almost the entire house with Cat5 10 years ago, and I'm too cheap to replace the router with a new wireless router, when with a max 25 foot patch cord you can plug in anywhere in the house or detached garage, and go on the internet.
