how do I move folders under favorites above items not in folders?
When I imported IE favorites to FF they went out of the order I had them in to a straight alphabetical order, files and folders mixed together. I went into organize favorites and they are in the ordeer I want all folders then all files not in folders. I do not see a way to save them that way. I also do not see a way of moving folders around such as in between two other folders. Any ideas?

- Use Bookmarks-> Organise Bookmarks, it opens Library
- Drag and drop, copy etc to your heart's content, much as within a Vista Folder
■ Note you can also temporarily rearrange/sort the view within the Library, again much as you may in a Vista folder, click on one of the column categories, it will then display sorted by ascending or on a second click descending order eg A-Z or Z-A

Thanks. That works in bookmarks for the favorites items but does not transfer sort over to actual favorites list under "Favorites" . Any further ideas?
I have not transferred IE folders over to my firefox, so do not know exactly what happens, I am surmising that the bookmarks from IE are in a folder named favourites, which in turn is now, on your system, a folder within bookmarks menu.
From what you say my understanding is that you want all the folders at the top within 'favorites' followed by all the bookmarks that are not in folders. All you need to do is drag the folders to the top, or bookmarks to the bottom, whichever is less work. Noting that you can move blocks by using left click and Ctrl to mark a group of bookmarks. (although firefox could hang if you move large groups of nested folders)
It appears you aught to be able to do what you want, if I understand the situation correctly. Perhaps if you were to add a screenshot showing your problem, or a link to a screenshot I would be able to understand better.
Something you may consider useful, depending on how you work may be to put your 'favourites' folder within your 'bookmarks toolbar' that will then open as a dropdown menu, and all the folders at the top would have arrowowheads to the right which would open further content.
