Trojan detected in cache2 entries
I did a windows security scan yesterday and it found a trojan in the Users\appdata\local\mozilla\firefox\profiles\c4h...\cache2\entries. Detected: Trojan:Script/wacatac.H!ml.The file is a containerfile. I tried removing it few times but it keeps coming back. This has made me feel uneasy even though I believe it to be a false positive. I've done 3 scans now and it always finds the same file. When I try to look for the file in the folder it's not there, so I can't upload it to virus total.

Anything found in the Cache is harmless if left untouched as it will be overwritten over time as Cache is used or be deleted if you clear the Cache.
We had an article about this, but is was for old Firefox versions and the steps for clearing the cache are outdated.
"Clear the Cache":
- Settings -> Privacy & Security
Cookies and Site Data -> Clear Data -> [X] Cached Web Content -> Clear - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-clear-firefox-cache
I tried clearing the cache, but the same file keeps reapearing. As you stated earlier it should be harmless if left untouched, but it still is making me very uneasy. Any idea why this happens?
Thank you for the fast resnponse.
