I think to keep on using new versions and accepting the update is more wise , because once before I accepted on installing the update of Mozilla from ( 75 v ) to a new , the guard of Malwarebytes appeared ( disabled ) and just I agreed to the update to be ( 99 ) the guard has worked

Try to start Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode to see if that works.
