I have tried numerous times to make Firefox the default browser in Windows 10 but each time I restart the computer a pop up box appears asking if I want to make Firefox the default browser. I have followed the directions on the Monzilla website but nothing seems to work. Any help is appreciated.

Hi So if have followed the path Settings --> Apps --> Default Apps --> go to Browser and click on Edge, Pick Firefox out of the menu.

Does not works go back to that and try and pick IE as your Default. Then try Reboot see if switches back then go and switch to Firefox and check. Sometimes it needs a little rattle.

Fixes Registry and Downloads System Files that are corrupted sorta like this command : sfc /scannow ( sfc<space>/scannow ) pre-win 10 r can still use it.

1) Use the Windows key + X keyboard shortcut to open the Power User menu and select Command Prompt (Admin). 2) Type or Copy/Paste the following command and press Enter: 3) DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth Reboot after.

Check your version # Settings --> System -->About if at 1709 and if not yet running 1803 download it :

Can try to make it Default by File Type.
