When clicking on links a blank page loads initially with'about:home' in the address bar is this spyware?

"about:home" is the address of the default Firefox home page. It normally appears in the first tab when you open a new window, and is not a sign of any problem.

If the home page is showing up when you don't expect it to, it might be a problem with your system, or something that you can change with a setting. Please provide more details if there's something you want to change.
