Since downloading the new Firefox 4.0.1 today, I've been frequently annoyed by the URL's that pop up at the bottom of the screen. At least, I believe they are URL's. But that's beside the point. What I want to know is how to stop them popping up so annoyingly. They pop up any time I hover my cursor over a link.

They are the URL previews when you hover over a link. The easiest way is to use the Status-4-Evar add-on. With it you can choose to not display any of the status messages or URL previews, or display them in the add-ons bar or location bar instead.
