All my sites seem too big for the screen, to where I have to scroll horizontally to view everything. Was always the case with a few on my old computer w/ Windows 2000; now it's everything on my new (used) computer w/ XP Home. ( had to download Firefox.)

What is your screen resolution? Most sites are designed for a minimum of 1024 pixels across, and most recent wide-screen monitors have horizontal resolutions in the range of 1440 to 1680 or more. You can check your current resolution by right-clicking your desktop, choosing Properties, then the Settings tab.

There are a couple of add-ons for Firefox that will apply Zoom to every site. If you recall installing any of those kinds of add-ons, then check their settings.

If you are using a plain install of Firefox, there is a small chance that Firefox is set to launch using "old" display settings. Right-click the Firefox shortcut you usually use to start the program, visit the Compatibility tab, and make sure that nothing is checked there.
