When you use the Windows 10 Reset/Refresh function, you can choose between having Windows flush your data, leave it in place, or save it in a temporary folder named
C:\Windows.old
Can you find such a folder on your system?
If so:
Before proceeding, please set Windows to show you hidden files and folders: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/14201/windows-show-hidden-files
Then check here:
C:\Windows.old\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\
You might just have one profile folder, or you might have more than one. Anything there?
no sadly there is no windows.old for me
Hmm, that's strange. Didn't Windows ask whether you wanted to save your data?
Maybe it's where you had it before but Firefox doesn't recognize it. Could you copy/paste this shortcut path into the Windows 10 search box? Windows should suggest opening the folder in File Explorer:
%APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles
Here you will find at least one folder, which stores your current Firefox profile. Do you see any additional folders? If so, double-click into them and look for a bookmarkbackups folder and click into that. The files should have the creation dates coded into the name so you can see whether this is a folder from before the reset.
nah there is nothing in there I think I'm just out of luck
