Is there a way I can discuss my question with a living person via telephone? Please email me the telephone number and timeframe I should call.
I need to know whether I have installed Firefox or not. It does not appear so. When I seek to download, I get a dialogue box that only allows me to save, not run as the directions suggest.

Did you get the full installer from http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/
All you need to do is to run the installer.
The user agent seems to show that you are using 64-bit Firefox 67 on Windows 10:
- Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:67.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/67.0
You can check via "Help -> About Firefox" whether you have the current Firefox release (67.0.4).
I don't know the answers to any of these questions. That's why I asked if there is a real person I can talk to: Yes or No?
If so, tell me how we can get together.
Mozilla doesn't offer support by phone. There is only this support forum and some other channels like Reddit.
If you download a file via Firefox then you can only save the file. Firefox doesn't allow to run a file directly for security reasons, you always need to save the file first e.g. to the script and then double-click the file to run.
Like I wrote above, you posted with a Firefox user agent.
You can click the "3-bar" Firefox menu button and click Help at the bottom of the list and ten click "About Firefox".
Nuts to you for not supplying verbal support. Not everything can be solved by FAQ or written Q&A.
Why does your direction to download say to click "Run" when FF doesn't provide for that choice. I don't know where to find the "saved" file.
The people who answer questions here, for the most part, are other Firefox users volunteering their time (like me), not Mozilla employees or Firefox developers.
If you want to leave feedback for Firefox developers, you can go to the Firefox Help menu and select Submit Feedback... or use this link. Your feedback gets collected by a team of people who read it and gather data about the most common issues.
Hi RickOrton, when you originally asked your question, your browser identified itself as Firefox. So unless your browsers are having an identity crisis, you not only installed Firefox, but you are using it already.
So far so good? Is there something in particular that doesn't seem to match up with your expectations? Some settings you want to change?
I realize that a lot of software looks similar, especially web browsers. To help you tell them apart, you can check their menu buttons. Here's a screen capture comparing them -- I added red circles:
Okay. I thought FF was a search engine but when I select FF icon I get connected to something that sort of looks the part but the search boxes are for Google chrome.
I do not wish to use Google, but Google is the default and I can't seem to find the handle on where/how to find and use FF search function.
Where do I look to find the FF install file as I don't think I am quite there yet from a FF user perspective?
Hi RickOrton, Mozilla does not run a Firefox-branded search engine. You can easily switch to DuckDuckGo or Bing through the Options page. Or you can "add-on" a search plugin and send your searches to another site.
This article has the steps for changing your default search engine: Change your default search settings in Firefox.
Hello RickOrton,
You don't have to use Google - you can set the search engine of your choice to be the default, as described in this article (take all the time you need to read it) :
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/change-your-default-search-settings-firefox
At startup, Firefox will open the homepage, which you can also set to be anything you like, as described in this article :
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-to-set-the-home-page
As for installing Firefox - it has been mentioned before and I will mention it again : Firefox is already installed and you are using it (as your browser).
Even though you may now already know the difference between a browser and a search engine - just to make sure :

@ jscher2000 :
I did not repeat this - you apparantly posted while I was typing my post (I'm a slow typist .... )
Sorry McCoy, it's probably my fault, for technical reasons I can explain elsewhere.
