Why does firefox say I have the latest version with 47.0.1 when 48.0.2 is available?

When I check about firefox it says that I have the latest version which is 47.0.1 in win 8.1 64 bit, yet I see that version 48.0.2 is actually the latest version Why is firefox telling me that I have the latest version when I have 47.0.1?

Actually I should have said that 48.0.2 is available not 47.0.2. Sorry!

Sometimes, updates are sent out by district, not all at once. And sometimes the updater doesn't work properly.

If Firefox has problems doing an update; Download Firefox For All languages And Systems {web link}
