I have an existing Microsoft calendar.live.com calendar that I have been using with the Windows Live Mail ( inc Calendar ) client on Windows 7 64-bit. If I convert to Thunderbird as my email client, will the Lightning calendar integrate with my existing Microsoft calendar.live.com calendar ? By that I mean automatically sync my local calendar with my online calendar. ( I find no references to live.com in Thunderbird calendar support. ) Thank you.

You find no reference because Microsoft have chosen to sync calendars with only a proprietary Microsoft protocol.

Thunderbird will synchronize with any webdav calendar provider, that is google, yahoo GMX and apple along with a host of others. But not live. Sorry.
