Unending Attachments Message Prevents Replying

When replying to an email occasionally I receive an Attachments notice that doesn't go away. This prevents my reply from going out. I have attached an image showing this. Also, I see a reference to dhfebedg.png. It seems to happen with one correspondent whose signature contains a graphic. I have tried removing that image with uneven results.
