how do I view attachments in gmail
Attachments used to come up in their own window. Suddenly they started being treated like a downloaded file and there was an arrow on the toolbar. I did not like this method of viewing attachments so I deleted the arrow. Now the attachments go directly to my download file and I have to go there to read the file. How do I get back to my original way of viewing attachments?
Chosen solution
- Click the menu button () and choose Customize.
- Click "Restore Default"
- Click the menu button again to exit
- Now you should see the arrow again
To open the attachments, click on the arrow then the name of the file. Or click on the arrow, then "Show All Downloads"
I don't think there is a setting to open downloads in a new window as it was before.
