I AM AFTER SOME HELP PLEASE - THANKS IN ADVANCE.

MY PROBLEM IS, SENDING E - MAILS, ON THUNDERBIRD, AND THEN, THE E - MAILS, ARE BEING "REJECTED", AND ARE CLASSED AS, "UNDELIVERABLE".

FIRSTLY, I AM NO COMPUTER EXPERT, SO I DO NOT GO AROUND, "CHANGING SETTINGS", OR SUCH...

MY PROBLEM, WAS NOTICED, YESTERDAY, 26 JULY 2021, AND IS STILL HERE TODAY, 27 JULY 2021.

MY SYSTEM IS, THAT I HAVE, "THUNDERBIRD", SET UP, ON MY, DESKTOP COMPUTER,

 -  I  DO  NOT  HAVE,  THUNDERBIRD,  "ON",  ALL  THE  TIME.
 -  I  ONLY,  "CLICK",   THUNDERBIRD,  "ON",  WHEN  I  WANT  TO,  READ / SEND / WRITE,  OR  FIND  AN  E - MAIL.
 -  WHEN  I,  "CLICK",   THUNDERBIRD,  "ON",  IT  THEN,  "CHECKS",  FOR  NEW  E - MAILS, AND  THEN,  DOWNLOADS  THEM,  ONTO,  MY  DESKTOP  COMPUTER.
 -  IF  I  AM,  "STILL",  USING  THE  THUNDERBIRD,  PROGRAMME,  I  BELIEVE,  THAT  THUNDERBIRD,  "RECHECKS",  FOR  NEW  E - MAILS,  EVERY  10  MINS.

I HAVE THUNDERBIRD, SET TO, "ASK ME", IF IT IS, OK, TO DO AN UPDATE, AND WHEN ASKED, I THEN, CLICK "YES, UPDATE NOW" = I CANNOT REMEMBER, THE LAST TIME, I SAID, "YES" TO AN UPDATE.

IN THE "HELP TAB", THUNDERBIRD, TELLS ME, THAT I AM USING,

 78.12.0  (32 - BIT)

WHEN I SEND AN IMPORTANT E - MAIL, IMPORTANT TO "ME", I ALSO, SEND THE SAME, TO "MY" E - MAIL ADDRESS, WHICH "PROVES", THE SENDING OF AN E - MAIL.

It is probably undeliverable because it does not exist.

On this webpage : https://www.justice.gov.uk/ It mentions that the website is moving and redirecting to: https://www.gov.uk/ So it will cease to exist. So, it is possible the email address does not exist and cannot be delivered.

As to your Answer = 7/28/21, 8:35AM, My Problem, IS NOT, Sending an e - mail, to the, "justice.gov.uk".

         It  just  so  happens,  that  it  was,  AT  THAT  TIME,  that  I  Noticed,  that  I  Found  Out,

that, "I", had a Problem... = I was able to, send, an e - mail, to the, "justice.gov.uk", by using, the Online, Web Page, for "OUTLOOK". = I then, DID RECEIVE, a reply, from, "justice.gov.uk", in which, "THEY", Confirmed, Receipt, of my e - mail = "justice.gov.uk", does, "exist".

My Problem, is that, I am having trouble, sending e - mails, and, "self test, e - mails", through, "THUNDERBIRD".

My Problem, is that, my e - mails, and my, "self test, e - mails", are being, REJECTED, by "OUTLOOK".

I can send, e - mails, directly from the Online Web Page, for "OUTLOOK", and these, if addressed to me, are then, Received, by, "THUNDERBIRD".

"THUNDERBIRD", on its own, does Receive, e - mails, as sent, from other people.

The reason emails are being rejected is therefore because you are adding your own outlook email address to the Cc or even a TO field if testing separately. That email is being sent via the outlook smtp server because you are using a third party client. If sending via outlook webmail, it is not being sent via that same server because you are already logged onto that server.

In a nutshell Outlook are blocking your emails when sending to yourself. This is not unique to you. Outlook are a pain and are well known for doing this. It is not a fault with Thunderbird.

Others do mention issues regarding failures when sending to self.- This particular one is more current and has many people like yourself, so would be worth adding your case as sometimes it gets the attention of the powers that be.

Thanks for the swift reply. I am mindful to say, "thanks", due to my being on Holiday, before, and thus, my delay, in acknowledging, your first, reply.

When I am doing a, "self test", I am only sending an e - mail, to myself, = sending an e - mail, from outlook.com = and that e - mail, being sent, to the same, outlook.com, e - mail address. = I have not been using, "CC" = in an, "important to me", e - mail, I send it to the person, that I am communicating with, and also, address, the e - mail, to myself, ( in the "TO", addresses ), to, "prove", that "I", have sent an e - mail.

Thanks for confirming, that the Fault, is not, with, "THUNDERBIRD".

With my logic, "I", thought that it was, "OUTLOOK's", Fault... BUT, As I am, "not", an Expert, it is nice to have an Expert, think the same as me. Thanks again.

Further to recent reply.

I have now, had time, and have, been through the Links, the Suggestions, that you sent, and "tried them", as advised. However, they did not work...

I still have the same problem, and it seems, "intermittent", when sending to "other people", = sometimes it works, and sometimes not...........

I still try to send, "self tests", when I am on the Desktop Computer, but all, still are, "rejected", by OUTLOOK, and thus, unable to send, from THUNDERBIRD.

I have, Cut and Pasted, your last reply, to MICROSOFT OUTLOOK, and they, "still have not", Replied, Responded.... = no real surprise there.

I have also, Added, my Problem / Fault, to a MICROSOFT COMMUNITY GROUP, as you suggested, Toad-Hall.

So thanks for your time, and advice, AGAIN, Toad-Hall.

It did not, fix the Problem / Fault, but at least, YOU, Toad-Hall, were able to, prove to me, that the Problem / Fault, lies with, OUTLOOK, and "not", THUNDERBIRD.

UPDATE ON SITUATION -

NOTING - that I have done, "NOTHING", that I have, "CHANGED NOTHING", within, THUNDERBIRD...

In the past days, I have received, Update e - mails, from the, Microsoft Community, saying that, "THINGS HAVE CHANGED", and that, "NOW", They Can, send, SELF TEST, e - mails, which are then / now, received in THUNDERBIRD.

 =  I  am  also,  now,  able  to,  send,  SELF  TEST,  and  have  done  so,  for  the  past,  few  days,  now.
 =  MICROSOFT  OUTLOOK,  have  obviously,  "CHANGED  SOMETHING",  and  now,  it  appears,  that  OUTLOOK,  is  no  longer,  "rejecting  as  Spam",  our  SELF  TESTS.

I am just, stating this, so that it shows, Full Circle, on my First, Question, for HELP, which was replied to, by you, Toad-Hall.
