1. How to add new bookmark to an imported list/folder (NOT current bookmark list); 2. How to move imported folder to tool bar.
Bookmark button on toolbar brings up the menu. I added a folder marked favorites. I want to be able to a) add new bookmarks as necessary to that 'favorite' folder and b) move that 'favorite' folder to the tool bar (to save having to go through current bookmark menu and selecting 'favorite').

You can't. You can place it on the bookmarks toolbar.

Open the Bookmarks Manager; Press the Alt or F10 key to bring up the toolbar, and select Bookmarks. Hot key is <Control> (Mac=<Command>) <Shift> B.
Using the directory 'tree' on the left, select the folder you want to work on. You can then add a new folder or do whatever you want.
Once a new folder is created, it should be displayed on the 'tree.' Now you can move what you want to the new folder.
Already created new folder. Problem is, when adding a new page to bookmark, it goes to ‘new’ bookmarks list, not the folder. Also, trying to avoid ‘trees’. I would like to put the ‘folder’ on the tool bar.
You can move any bookmark or folder anywhere you want. It's just like Windows File Explorer.
You can do a Cut and Paste in the Bookmarks Manager (Library) to move the favorites folder to the Bookmarks Toolbar folder.
Figured out the solution to question 1: To add a new bookmark to a folder in the bookmark menu (in my case, the 'imported from IE' folder, I clicked on the folder, opened the side bar, right clicked the folder and clicked "add a bookmark". It's even easier on the iPad, just click on the old folder and click "+" to add a new mark.
Problem 1 solved.
Still can't figure out how to pin that particular bookmark folder to the task bar. "Pin to task bar" is not an option.
