I have a normal (text only) email that does not allow a filter ("body contains") to respond to. How could this be for one email and not others?

On one specific text only email, a filter using "body contains" does not respond. I have applied filters to just this message with no response and yet doing exactly the same to other emails immediately moves the email to my trash.

What could be different about this one email? How do I get the filters to work on it?

The email is copied here:

Well, it's spam. Why waste any time on it? Mark it as Junk, move on.

Are you saying the filter allows you to specify a search for body text but then fails to find the target word? You may be up against unicode or similar that shows characters that appear to be standard but may not be. Inspecting the source code may be useful. Or try copy-and-pasting the target word or phrase from the message into the filter rule box. Actually. I'm not sure how well the filter boxes support extended characters. You may have to enter them using the U+0000 notation style. :-(

Or, are you saying that, in this case (as others have reported), body text simply isn't offered as a search term? ISTR body text search not being offered for certain types of account (maybe news accounts) but that doesn't sound as if it applies in your case.

First, I tend to receive many emails each day and using the filters has saved a great deal of time over the years so I prefer not to filter manually.

Yes, I am saying that the "body contains" does not find the phrase I specify (specifying one word is very dangerous as valid emails contain that word). To create the filter rule I always copy and paste from the particular email into the filter.

The "body contains" is certainly offered in the filter as my question indicates.

My question is, why does the "body contains" option work for all other emails except this one regardless of the phrase I choose to base the filter on?

Thanks
