How can I put my own title on my bookmarks?

For example, when I put my Gmail account into my bookmarks and see it on my tool bar, it shows only an "M" icon. I want it to read "Gmail" after the icon. Or, my health care provider says "My Health Manager". I would prefer it to read "Kaiser", which is the name of the HMO.

If you can, kindly list each little step in detail. I am not automatically tech savvy or intuitive. Thank you!

Thanks, ideato,

It's fantastic that you cared and took the time generously to respond.

It took a little doing. I'm very "tech challenged". What hadn't been clear to me, nor was immediately, was that one had to bring up the page first on screen, and then go to the bookmark window. Rather than inserting the original name in the window itself, and then trying to change it. This is the kind of thing that may be "obvious" to the tech savvy. But not to cave dwellers like me.

In fact, I was online for two hours yesterday with a patient tech from Apple Support, with her linked to my new iMac screen, and primarily trying just to get the Firefox toolbar showing, up, and functioning. Another helpful Apple tech had been unable to do it the night before, "punting" that dilemma ahead. So, interestingly, Firefox is apparently not even user friendly for many people with a great deal of tech experience.

This all is pretty interesting, even with my "disability". Thanks so much for helping. Jim
