Upgrade to 43.0.4 only Beeps when clicked.
I have been using vers 42. Got a notice to upgrade to 43.0.4 for a few days. Just let it Update today. NO ERRORS on install. When I go to click on the Firefox icon, all I get is a Beep. Nothing in Task Manager. Even tried Shift-click for "clean" start. Got a Beep. Noticed that what got downloaded AND installed, was vers 43.0.1... NOT 43.0.4. What is the difference? Why didn't I get the .4 version? Re-boot did Nothing. I re-installed ver 42 and am working again. I found vers 43.0.1 AND 43.0.4 on the Multiple version directory. I have Both downloaded.

Vista and WinXP users are getting diverted to the Firefox 43.0.1 version due to SHA1 issues with the stub installers.
You can get the Firefox 43.0.4 version here: https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/43.0.4/win32/

I have Windows XP Sp3, but am only getting 43.0.1.. Which installs, but does NOT OPEN/RUN. When I click on the Firefox Icon, it ONLY BEEPS. NOTHING comes up in Task Manager. In other words, there is NOTHING even Trying to start. Shift-Clicking Also Only gives a BEEP. The message you pointed me to, says there is a problem if having Windows XP Sp2. I have already downloaded the 43.0.4 version. Did Not try installing yet. Wanted to use my working Firefox first, before trying. If it works... Great!! If I doesn't....... Ummm... will need More support.
Says I should get the Latest version (43.0.4), and later, with Windows XP Sp3. Only get to 43.0.1 if you have up to Sp2. The version, Whatever it is .... Should NOT INSTALL if the version is NOT made for your OS! It DID INSTALL. Without ANY error messages.
