After updating Kaspersky IS to the latest 2015 I kept getting Safe Money prompts which caused Firefox to crash. After that I can't get past Crash Reporter even in safe mode.. I have since disabled Safe Mode in Kaspersky but no change. I tried clean reinstall to no avail.

¡Hola!

Per https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1205987 you might want to uninstall "Freecorder" if installed.

Let us know if that improves things.

¡Gracias!

Some of your crash reports weren’t sent to the Mozilla Servers.

In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP in front of the numbers/letters, click it and select Submit.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

Using your mouse, mark the most resent 7 - 10 crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box below and paste them in.

Disable Kaspersky and Safe Money for now.

Hi, thanks for getting back to me.

Crash report is created EVERY time I try to start the browser. They are all prefixed with bp (bp-b44ddb17-5d39-4853-b9dc-9951f2151124.txt is the latest one). When I open up the file it contains only the Crash Id Bear in mind I can't get the browser window up hence can't display the crashes as suggested.

When I select to submit the report in Crash Reporter it appears to be successful.

I am on a verge of wiping the profile off and run clean reinstall. I would like to save the the bookmarks only but can't import them into Crome because it thinks that Firefox is running.

I tried stopping Kaspersky and rebooting but no change in behavior.

There seams to be a file somewhere which triggers the Crash Manager to come up and also tels Crome that Firefox is running. How can I get rid of this condition ?

Thanks in advance.

Agreed. Freecorder has been causing a lot of problems of late. Check for updates, or remove it.

Well spotted, thanks to both respondents.

The problem is now fixed.

Interestingly enough the problem occurred alongside Kaspersky update which pointed me in different direction. Freecorder was installed as trial and hasn't been used for a while.
