Tags Disappearing
I downloaded Thunderbird particularly for the ability to tag emails. I can tag them but as soon as I tag a second one the first one disappears. Is this normal behavior?

Is it normal? It can be!
For a pop account most certainly not, or for an imap server that is doing the right thing and either reporting it does not support tags or supports tags is is also not normal. Unfortunately there are mail servers out there that simply report their support for tags, but simply do not. It is with these that tags tend to disappear as soon as there is another server update.
What mail provider are you using, and what protocol? IMAP or POP

i have this problem also. IMAP, with only one of my email providers, ZOHO, other providers work. it all worked fine until last week. i upgraded to the latest thunderbird instead of the older one in the debian repos (91.4.0) and still the same behavior. i deleted my local .msf files to no effect. from what iread, even if the IMAP server doesnt support tags, they can be saved locally? how would i tell it that ZOHO appears to be misrepresenting themselves... and yes i did ask a question to that effect at ZOHO but no answers yet.
I'm facing the same issues with Tags disappearing from my emails on Zoho mail server (on imap) as well. Tags on other servers work fine.
Spoke to zoho helpdesk and he insists it's a Thunderbird issue.
Anyone able to solve this issue?

Solved.
In Zoho webmail settings they now show "pro" in their server names. I added that to my Thunderbird server settings.
Old IMAP Mail Server: imap.zoho.com New: imappro.zoho.com Old Outgoing Server (SMTP): smtp.zoho.com New: smtppro.zoho.com
Tags now work in Thunderbird. Go figure.
