So the title pretty much sums up the issue but here's a more detailed explanation. Whenever I try to play an audio message on Facebook nothing happens. When I try to play the same audio message on messenger it starts loading but never finishes. So basically it starts an endless loading loop and the audio never actually plays. I've tried other browsers such as Opera, Chrome and even Edge and this problem wasn't present in any of these browsers so I'm assuming the problem isn't messenger related. Any suggestions?

Microsoft Patch Tuesday today please update Win10 and reboot.

Then please test in : SAFE MODE

In Firefox Safe mode these changes are effective:

  • all extensions are disabled (about:addons)
  • default theme is used (no persona)
  • userChrome.css and userContent.css are ignored (chrome folder)
  • default toolbar layout is used (file: localstore-safe.rdf)
  • Javascript JIT compilers are disabled (prefs: javascript.options.*jit)
  • hardware acceleration is disabled (Options > Advanced > General)
  • plugins are not affected
  • preferences are not affected

TEST''''is issue still there ?

The issue is present in Safe mode as well. Even after installing the latest windows updates.
