Sounds like you enables session restore on start up. Have a look here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/startup-home-page-tabs-download-settings#w_startup
You can check the home page setting.
- Options/Preferences -> General -> Startup: Home page

Firefox supports multiple home pages separated by '|' (pipe) symbols.
