Passwords and username accounts for gmail, all disappered from my saved passwords. This is the first time ever that something has been deleted. What happened?

Gmail login page used to allow me to left click the empty username space and a list of accounts/login usernames would appear. Over the years, gmail has changed their login style but firefox would always have my saved username and passwords in the saved passwords list in options. Did gmail hack my firefox saved passwords list and erase my saved info during their latest change for the gmail login? What could have happened to all my saved gmail accounts and logins?

Thanks.

Do you still see these names and passwords in the Password Manager?

  • Tools > Options > Security: Passwords: "Saved Passwords" > "Show Passwords"

Did you try to close and restart Firefox and possibly reboot the computer?

Thank you for replying. Yes, I tried to show passwords but all the sites were gone, the whole line, for all my gmail accounts. I just ended up re-entering all the accounts and resaving the passwords. Thanks, this is a strange one.

Did you try Firefox Safe Mode to see if an extension is causing this issue?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window
