Why some extension can not be set in the Applications save as standard? Or in the settings option's default save to caught by clicking on a link of a file? Now I must always indicate the Save file in several files.

This can happen if the server is sending the file as a generic type like "application/octet-stream" or as a content-disposition type.
This may help;
