I'm reinstalling Firefox back onto my MacBook after about a year and I'm being asked to give a master password for the FIPS140, I do not remember any such password created. Can anyone help me out here. THX

If FIPS is enabled then only removing signons.sqlite and key3.db can recover from this.
I don't know if you can remove those two files in the Firefox profile folder easily on mobile.

If this is happening on a desktop computer then go to the Firefox profile folder and delete the signons.sqlite and key3.db files.

You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:

  • Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder (Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder)
