I recently had my machine refreshed and ported over an existing profile that worked flawlessly.

Now, every time I launch Firefox, it freezes up for 10-15 minutes, and again anytime I click a link or refresh the page.

I've googled extensively to solve the issue, booted in safe mode where the issue still exists and tried creating a new profile, for which the issue persists.

The issue started on FF 13.0 and I reverted to 12.0 (what I had before the refresh and previously worked fine), but the issues persists for both.

Any other ideas on how to fix this?

Try uninstalling Firefox (whatever version you have now) from the Add Remove programs in your control panel. Open up your computer, go to your C drive, then Program Files, find the Mozilla folder. Delete it.

Restart your PC, then download Firefox 14.0.1 from www.getfirefox.com, and install it. Does this correct the issue?
