How do I get rid of an unwanted tool bar from mysearchresults.com? I can't find anything in the control panel to remove it.
I installed some freeware on my computer this morning and now I have an unwanted toolbar from mysearchresults.com. It's up on top by the window tabs and I can't find anywhere to remove it. It does not show up in my uninstall programs list in the control panel. Any suggestions?
Chosen solution
Your toolbar is not appearing in the add-ons/plug-ins list. If it is not appearing in Control Panel, uninstall the freeware completely, reboot the computer, and see if the unwanted toolbar is gone. If it isn't, check to see if it appears in Internet Explorer on any other browsers you have installed.

I took a closer look at the extensions in the addons and found it. It was listed as something other than what I expected. I don't remember the exact name, but it was i something or other. When I clicked on the "more" link, I saw that the home page was mysearchresults.com so I just clicked on remove and restarted firefox. It's not there anymore, so I hope it's resolved. Thank you for the quick answer.
Yes, it was installed as "Defaut 1.4" under Extensions
