I upgraded and now have two active versions - v10 & v11.

I thought the installer was supposed to take care of everything.

Computing is becoming increasingly tedious, not more user friendly as time passes.

Recently my laptop was DESTROYED by a manufacturers web site and now all I have is this crappy VISTA based netbook.

GAAACK!

What you should do is go into your Start Menu, Control Panel, programs and features. Then remove both versions of Flash. Then download and install http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/licensing/win/install_flash_player_11_plugin_32bit.exe

After that, make sure you update your Firefox to version 12.

You can see the installed plugins that are enabled on the about:plugins page.

You can set the plugin.expose_full_path pref to true on the about:config page to see the full path of plugins on the about:plugins page.

It is best not to leave that pref set to true as it exposes that full path to web servers, so reset that pref to false after you are done with the about:plugins page.
