Why when ever I start FireFox 8.0 does the plug-in/extension checker show up and then I get directed to my home page and the welcome to FireFox page??
I have edited these lines out of the user js file:
user_pref("browser.startup.homepage_override.mstone", "rv:8.0"); user_pref("browser.startup.homepage_override.buildID", "20110928134238"); user_pref("browser.startup.homepage_override.mstone", "rv:7.0.1");
Now I do not get two home pages every time but the checking plug-ins/extensions splash still shows up. It never did until I upped to 8.0.

Tried it no go. I went in and modified the user js file and that seems to have stopped the two page load up...thanks for replying
